Policy For Observing the Lord's Supper

Trinity practices a "semi-closed" observance of the Lord's Supper (Communion). This means we "fence" the table, offering it only to the members of Trinity Baptist Church. We also invite others after we've had an opportunity to meet them and hear their testimony. If it is your first visit, we recommend that you refrain from partaking of the Lord's Supper until you've had an opportunity to speak with the pastor. He will ask some basic questions before inviting you to join us in this ordinance. Those invited to share with us at the Lord's Table include:
For more information on Closed Communion we've posted a video here.
- Those who have received the Gospel of Christ, who have repented of their sins and trusted Jesus Christ alone for their salvation.
- Those who have been baptized by immersion as a sign of the union with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. (You can read more about baptism in our section titled, "What is a Reformed Baptist Church." Also, there is a document under "Study Notes." and a video that can be viewed here.)
- Those who are members in good standing of an evangelical church where they attend regularly and serve faithfully.
- Those who are living in a manner consistent with their profession of faith in Christ.
